Over at one of the other sites, and noticed someone had just purchased some Ceramic Coated Flowtech Long Tubes from Jegs for $279. Supposidly they are the same as the Hooker models? Anyone have any info, cuz this prices is very tempting, just would need a Hpipe made with some cats.

I'd be very suspicious about those Flowtechs "being the same as Hookers"
Holley owns both divisions but I highly doubt they are the same. And for the cost of mufflers, come on now.
Post that link to that other site.

You get what you pay for. At that price, I would expect these to be mild steel, not stainless.
Reminds me of the cheap headers I bought for my 66' back in the day. Mild steel, leaked like crazy from the flanges, basically a piece of flaming crapola.

I just talked to them and asked what the difference were in the two. He simply said they were made in different places and the hookers were better quality...fit better stuff like that. I asked if they were made from the same material and he said yes. I dont really know what to ask so someone else who knows may want to call and question more.

kinda odd that they would spend R&D time to produce one that fits better than the other and still sell versions of the "bad" one. I know they don't say it is an improper fitting header, but the last thing I would want is a header that doesn't line up properly.

Yeah I wasn't so positive the guy I was talking to was being specific or just giving me some general BS answer. Thats why someone who knows more should call. While I was on hold I saw what Don is talking about...the difference in guage's and stuff. Thats why I asked if they were made of the same material. Thats why someone else should call and question them more
I am all for saving some $$$ but I don't want crap thats not going to line up or rust out in a year.

Also, I was told that the welds of the Hookers are much better over the Flowtechs. The quality is a big difference and they are far from being the same.
So, if you go with Flowtechs, dont expect the same horsepower and torque gains as the Hookers since those welds are poorly done (compared).
