Finally lowered!
Finally lowered!
Ok, it took me way too long to buy suspension and then way too long to find time to get it installed, but it's finally installed as of this afternoon...and I love it! I went with the full Stage 2 kit from Roush, lowering the car about 1". Not only does it look better, but the handling is worlds better. Oh, and for dropping an inch, the ride is still just as comfortable as stock, but with superior handling....even on our crappy Michigan roads. I'm now asking myself why it took me so long to do this.
Hey Gary....yeah, I thought about that when I was posting, but unfortunately haven't had a good opportunity to take any pics. I'll take my camera with me today and try to at least take a profile shot.
is right. I'm guilty.
I actually didn't do the install. I was going to (and kind of wanted to), but had been very busy this summer. I've actually had the suspension in my garage all summer and finally decided to go get it done before next thing I knew my car would be back in storage for the winter. Plus, this is my DD in the summer, so I would've needed time to complete the full install at one time and that just wasn't looking like it was going to happen.

OK, the obvious slacker that I am and finally have some pics.....but I must preface it by saying these don't really do it justice, since the quick pic I took tonight isn't nearly as good of quality (nor is my car clean) as the one I took last fall in the before pic.

Thanks Gary. It definitely improves the appearance of the "gap" above the rear wheel from the stock setup. Funny thing is, that was the main reason I lowered it....and just figured what the heck, I might as well get the shocks, struts and both sway bars too. Glad I did, cuz the cornering and overall handling is soooo much better, which allows me to be even more aggressive on the roads.

Because I used the FRPP K springs and the extra weight of the supercharger over the engine, I felt a noticeable bump steer issue. I ended up adding the steed bump steer kit (height adjustable link on the tie rods) and it cleared it right up. Something to consider only if you notice anything.
I could tell after going over a bump at speed that the front end acted a little squarely with the altered toe geometry from the drop.
Yeah, I want at least a 9.5" wide wheel....not sure on staggered or not....and can't decide between silver or black...or a combo of the two. Gee, the more I talk, the more it sounds like I have no idea what wheels I want.

Wait till you put some new wider rubber on there. It really adds a whole other level.
