FAST intake manifod

Has anyone got any info on this bolt on?
Sposed to add a honest 40hp, but was in the development stage at press time. They had one in their booth at SEMA but no info on their crazy *** website.
Thanks,

I got a buddy at comp cams I can call and have him ask about it. I'm sure he knows somebody in the FAST department? I'll call tomorrow during the day sometime.

Theres not really much released yet, heres a bit of info http://www.fordmuscle.com/blog/new-m...ustangs/112150 I believe the intake deletes the need for charge motion plates which is where some of the horse power claim comes from. Not sure how they got 40 hp though.

They apparently just made 20+ horsepower, but the powerband was too high (ie. rpm needed for the additional power). They are going to redesign the intake runners for the next go. The 40hp was most likely done with a supercharged option.

I was about to say 40 hp seems awefully high. Maybe supercharged sounds about right.

Alot of people around here were thinking that half the hp claim would come from throwing it on a stock motor and tuning it. (~10hp for removing the CMCVs and ~15 for tuning it) I still have hope though. N/A power is starting to get hard to come by.

C&L is working on a manifold for our car, aren't they. Maybe theirs will be in aluminum to match their street intake. That would be sweet.

Yes, your correrct C&L is working on a 3v intake manifold for the 05-07 Stang but there's no date set just yet.. it's still in the development stages right now

If C&L can put together an aluminum high flow intake along the lines of the one I had from FRPP on my '96, I would buy it. The FRPP intake got me about 20-25 HP mostly above 4000 rpm. It worked very well.

Boy, that's a tough one...... lol!

If that's true, then there will be another company that rhymes with Hedlecrock coming up with one soon..... I have a Performer RPM intake on my '92 that works really well.
