The price here quoted for 275-50-R 17 rear and 255-50-R 17 front 998.79 Canadian is that good they say they are great quailty but there are Soo many cool treads out there ,but cool is not always safe, I guess I want it to just handle like my BMW used to drive side ways and stay in control.

I've had the Falken Ziex on my car for approx 15k miles and love them. I used to have them on my Pontiac Grand Prix GTP so that's how I knew about them. I've been pulling 1.9 60' times at the strip with mine at 25psi.
The Ziex also work very very well in the winter as long as you've got decent tread left on them. Mine are pretty beat up with all my runs at the track so I need to melt them down so I can get my new pirelli's mounted. I'd get the Ziex again if they made them in the correct size for the 17" rims but the are unfortunately a little small.

I'd be curious to see some more responses to this. I've got KDW 2's (see signature for sizes) and I find them a little slippery for regular, dry road driving. Anyone else experience this with the KDW's?? On a motorsport course last month they were just fantastic but they also got to get as hot as h.e.l.l. which made the difference.
Anyone out there chime in if you've got some recommendations for a real sticky street tire that doesn't particularly need alot of warming up.
Thanks - Mark (and Ed.....when you make your choice, DON'T pay our ridiculous Cdn prices. Call the Tire Rack, fantastic to deal with and you'll save a few hundred $$ even after the delivery, duty and tax crap that we have to pay).

As much as I like My Goodyear F1's I don't think I can afford them after this set is gone, lol. If you can afford them they are awesome tires.
Falken price wise is on the lower end of the ladder, but that always doesn't mean performance follows the trend. No personal experience with them, but have sold a set or two.
