Exhaust Piping Banging Around

My Magnapacks have been banging around since installed. They seem to be hitting the frame around the over-axle area. It is normally only on certain cracks and bumps and not really a concern, but I thought I'd post 'cos it was unusually annoying going to get a burger just now. I had this problem on my last car with a custom setup, so I am no stranger to it, but I'd like to know if this happens with other Magnapacks or any of the other systems out there. I like this system but a bang-free setup would definitely draw my attention. And, I don't need to know about LMs 'cos they are not an option.

Mine does it, and if I figure out where it's hitting, and how to stop it, I will not only take pics, I'll dance naked in the street. Hell, I'll take pics of that, too. I ain't shy.

Mine isn't banging so much as it is vibrating/rubbing when cold. I can't find it to save my life.

You may not be shy, but I am innocent, so keep the camera pointed at the car.

Your issue definitely sounds different than mine. Mine is directly related to the suspension movement, undoubtedly aided by the lateral motion from the panhard arc.

My Corsa's were banging the frame/bumper right above the tip, towards the back of the tip. I had to get it on a lift to figure it out. I tried to bend the hangers and it worked minimally. I now have shims under the brakets and it seems to have worked.

I have the same problem! Need Help!

Finally when I get everything dialed in I get this banging coming from my left rear exhaust hitting the panhard rod brace. I can even see the dent in the exhaust. I beleieve this is a problem because the car has been lowered. I can't believe this isn't a problem with more people. Any more suggestions on how to fix this problem? Banging happens on certain bumps and hard right turns. It is crazymaking. It must be fixed or I'm going postal.

This is the cause of the banging and it has nothing to do with lowering my car has done this since day one. It is the Mid Pipe hitting the upper panhard support. I lessened mine by adding to flat washers that are about 1/16-1/8" thick under the bar. Very simply fix and it got rid of 90% of the noise. Only really big bump cause it now where before it would bang on almost any dip or bump. you can also try adjusting the mid pipe a little by loosening the clamp at the muffler and then also at the H-Pipe and try moving it around a little this also helps a small amount. The flat spot in the mid pipe is there from the factory. Also if you have this problem DO NOT buy any of the aftermarket Panhard Supports they do not have enough of a drop in them and the banging will get worse. Trust me i have tried three makes of them and had to sell them all.
