I'm thinking of dropping a set of FMS 4.30's in the car when I get it....

Does anyone have any times before and after a gear swap? What about on radials?

If you want any benefit out of the gears, you need to get drag radials. It's the general consensus around here that Mickey Thompson ET Streets (biasply) have the best traction for a DOT tire. The 3743 model fits on the stock GT tire.

You will pick up 2-3 tenths at least and 3 tenths with the slicks. With an intake and tuner your mods will put you in the 12.7-12.8 range.

So if I'm not planning on running drag tires, gains would be quite minimal? I'm looking for a pure comparison, same tires, etc...

With stock tires you will see .1 or less of a gain, people say. You will be losing traction.

I would think it could be more than that on stock tires. At least I hope so...

I went from 13.6 with an automatic completely stock to 13.2 with 4.10 gears and a tune on street tires. I am going to add underdrive pulleys and hope to run 13.0 or 12.9 with stock tires.

Again I'm not speaking from personal experience, that's just what people have said here.

I really wasnt trying to get a good time.I wanted to see how well the car ran. I left it in drive and with the traction control on. The 60' time sucked as you can see.
