Engine temperature
How is everyone's car running temperature wise. My temp gauge is sitting mid way between center and the top blue mark of the normal range. Seems a little warm. Yesterday in traffic it almost got to the last blue mark and didn't go down once I got out of traffic. It was only 50 degrees outside. Every other Ford I've owned has ran to the cold side.
Mine never makes it to the halfway point... always slightly under.
Seeing as how the factory temp gauge is SO accurate at giving us real numbers
, here are the numbers I get with the high speed fan set to kick on at 190* and shut off at 180*, via Predator. The Autometer coolant temp gauge's sensor is in the driver's side of the block, just below the exhaust manifold. Once it's warmed up, the gauge reads a constant 193* to 195*. I'm still waiting on an answer from Ford as to why the temp isn't closer to 180* (especially seeing as how the car came with a 180* thermostat from the factory), and what I can do lower the temp.
