Hey guys, I noticed that Comp has their 4 stages of cams available for sale now. I was wondering if anyone knew which(if any) of these sets would still be emissions legal. I really want to boost my output some without a major headache from the emissions guys.

 

I would be interested in knowing the outcome as well. How about P/P heads included in the mix, a stage 2 perhaps? I would be only concerned about the first 2 selections from Comp because the car is a daily driver. Any thoughts from the gear heads at this site?

 

well, I think the first 2 stages SHOULD pass on their own.... if you have stock converters, but I think ported heads worsen the situation......

but then, you must remember that if you take out enough timing...... anything can pass smog.

And check to see what kind of test your state does for emissions. Don't want to waste time trying to be all smog legal just to find out all they do is look for ODBII error codes and a cap test

 

as long as your tune is correct you shouldnt have any error codes...
