Eibach Pro-alignment Kit
#24
maybe I misread the posts, but are any of you guys installing the bolts yourselves?
I dropped my car a few months ago, just got my bolts in the mail
I didn't think there was anyway for someone at home to check the camber without just guessing...
I think I will probably wait till spring, i'll have my new wheels and tires and one winter's worth of sliding around and springs seating
let me know how they work out for you
thanks guys

We are not going to adjust the camber ourselves, but the bolts will be there when we take it to the shop to get it aligned. I'm dropping mine on Monday, I hope I get an idea before then as to where the aligning bolts are suposed to go...

uh ok your front struts have 2 bolts on the bottom of them, where it mounts to the spindle. The camber bolts replace the top bolt.

Jollygreen : Installing my own springs.
Rony: Ended up not needing the bolts, only had a little toe out that needed ajustment.
Since I cut convertible springs, the results were a little different, but I love the feel& look.
The front is only 11/16" lower, while the rear is 1 3/8" lower.
Stock front was 28 5/16" and rear was 29 3/8"
Front now sits at 27 5/8" and rear at 28"
People that have cut stock coupe springs were around 27 9/16" FR and 27 1/2" rear.

Ford would do it if you purchase the Ford Springs from FFRP, but they won't do your aftermarket springs.. that would be voiding the warranty of the car (unless you know someone, they I guess they could do it).
By the way, the car looks GOOD! I have pics, I'll post tonight (hopefully). I'll have some Before and After shots.
Happy New Year everyone!

Stupid question: I bought the Eibach Pro-Kit in Miami/FL and brought it back home to Switzerland.
I will get the springs installed Feb 4.
Now reading all the above, do you believe I should order these alignment bolts? If so I'd have to order them quickly!
Is this really necessary? When I bought it from the performance shop, they did not mention anything. If they wouldn't know, who would? I mean, they are professionals in tuning cars.
What might happen if I install them withoug the alignment bolts?
Your input would be highly appreciated.
Thanks, Ralph

What will happen is uneven tire wear, and also, you won't be able to align it back to stock without the alingment bolts. I did alingment yesterday, if it wasn't for the bolt, they would've not been able to adjust it.
Get the part number from this thread, and just do a quick lookup in the web, I paid like $20 for mine, and I heard that they cheaper through Summit Racing (a different brand, not Eibach's).
Good luck!

Driving several hundred km's on them with excessive camber isn't going to wear them out or ruin them. I put about 20,000 km on mine with -1.75 camber before I got the bolts. I can see the accelerated wear on the inner edges. Probably 1 or 2/32" more than the center and outer edges.
As for the "professionals in tuning cars", they probably assumed that you maybe you knew about or wanted the extra negative camber to improve performance in cornering. Or maybe they didn't give it a second thought. Some performance enthusiasts knowingly choose to go that route at the expense of tire wear. Every time I see a lowered vehicle now with wheels slanted in at the top, I wonder if they know what they're doing to their tires! They can corner like a car-on-rails but rubber ain't cheap!

the rear doesn't have any alingment components. You only need 2 for the front (upper factory bolt needs to be removed and replace with Eibach's new bolt).
