Edelbrock Strut Tower brace
I saw it in my issue of 5.0 Magazine this month. Anyone else seen it yet?

I got the Edelbrock Strut Tower Brace on yesterday. It looks very good on top of the engine. It feels real solid, and is considerably heavy. It is black, but I am thinking about having it powdercoated red. It does have the capability to be bolted to the firewall, but I don't think that is necessary. In order to do so, you must remove the 2 black plastic cowling pieces between the hood and the windshield. The piece on the passengers side comes off relatively easy, but the driver's side piece is underneath the windshield wipers, and I cannot get the wiper arms off. The stb comes with a metal brace that bolts from the back of the firewall to the metal shelf that the wipers sit on, to further bolster up the STB.
The tower brace itself does not bolt directly bolt to the strut towers. There are brackets that bolt to the two inside strut bolts, and the STB bolts to these brackets.
I don't have a plenum cover, So I an not sure if it would fit over one. I can tell you that is is awful close to the existing plenum already, and it does rub up against the hood liner.
I will supply pictures as soon as I can. Also, if anybody knows how to get the windshield wiper arms off, please let me know.

Thanks for the report on the Edelbrock STB. Based on your info, it doesn't sound like it will clear the Ford engine cover, so I went ahead and ordered the Granatelli single STB, since it does clear the Ford Engine Cover. Thanks again for the info.
