Dyno Results in!! Video Below

got my Kenne Bell Dynoed and custom tuned thursday. Car made 458RWHP on the Kenne Bell tune which is great but at almost 23 degrees of timing. We dialed it back to 18 degrees and got 428RWHP for now. Also the KB tune was lean so we richened it a bit and now i got a flat 11.5-11.7 A/F across the board. Cant wait for my Headers and the FRPP Handling pack now!!

Thumbs up

Congrads! It is especially nice to see the KB is actually making the numbers that they are advertising. Maybe “truth in advertising†is making a comeback.

I can understand why you dialed it back, but I'm curious about the KB tune. The timing looks like it matches what they are saying in their Tech Info section. What was the A/F? Was it detonating?

Thanks, and enjoy!

no detonation no but they were using too much timing which both doug at bamachips and Andrew at Larocca Performance both agreed was more for race gas and not pump gas. the KB tune was always over 12.0, never dipping below and almost at 13 at 4k rpm's. it dipped down to close to 12 and stayed pretty flat from there on in. Larocca's tune has the A/F pegged at 11.7-11.5 all the way through from 4k rpms on.

That's actually pretty good for a tailpipe sniffer. The actual AF was probably around 0.5 lower.

kb was 5670 shipped. you need colder plugs as well. should run about 80 bucks. then if you want gauges thatll run a bit more.

If you are looking for a dealer/installer/tuner, I would recommend contacting Adam at S.T. Motorsports in San Bernardino (link in my sig)... he has installed/tuned several KB blowers so far. Tell him I sent you...

p.s. FWIW, there isn't any shop in San Diego that I would trust with my car.

Don,

I will send you a PM, and hopefully you can fill me in on what you've learned, since you have already accomplished much of what I would like to do.
