I went to a dynoday at a local shop and I am very pleased with the results:

290hp at about 5200rpm
311tq at 4300rpm
A/F was at 12.5 across the board.
The car held the hp from 5200 to almost 6000, and made 300lbs of tq at 3800 before peaking at 4300

Thanks again to Brent for the tunes

These numbers are SAE corrected.

it is fun, and actually I was surprised by the tq. I was thinking somewhere in the 285hp w/ 300tq, but I will take what I got!

These are also with the 91 octane program, because thats what we get for living in the desert!

So, I'm hearing the off road h pipe makes all the power.... Are there any carb legal h pipes that are nearly as helpful???
Do the smog shops tend to get underneath and look for an h pipe? Will it still pass a sniffer??? Will Lois ever realize that Clark and Superman are one in the same? How many fat women can you fit in a mini cooper????

Questions, questions, questions

You can always strap the fat ones to the roof though!

The lack of cats is why people are gaining some hp & tq, not much but this is now the 2nd topic in which people are dynoing around 300 rwhp with just a CAI, O/R mid pipe and tune.

This should put to rest all the worries people were having about a loss of power from going with an O/R H pipe or X for that matter.

I can truley say that the car felt like I was towing a 2000lb trailer until I reloaded the tune, and disconnecting the battery did not do anything. The car had no midrange and the top end seem lacking as well, so whether or not is was the car learning or reloading the tune something definately brought back the power and fun factor.

So this tune that you re-loaded.

Was it the same tune you were running before the O/R H pipe and you just reloaded it?

or...................

Did you have Brenspeed do a custom tune for the CAI + the O/R H pipe and it didn't quite take the first time, so you re-loaded the tune and then everything was o.k.?

With mine, Yeah, it felt a little sluggish at first but everything sure seemed to correct itself in a hurry and then some. The only thing I did was the battery disconnect during install.

Nice numbers with a super safe A/F and room for improvement. You are only a couple parts away from your 300 mark.

That is great news, since I have the exact same setup. I just ordered the water pump from Brenspeed as well and will hopefully get some warm enough weather to put it on soon.
