The stock 2-piece steel driveshaft is rated up to 145 mph. That's all I really need to hear to stick wth the stock driveshaft.

thanks!
2 hours at an auto shop... under 150. You can do it yourself, though. It's really quite an easy job! Fun to see the difference first hand!

In my case, I have the stock shifter, so no issues there. However, I do have Steeda (bad word) Ultralites on the rear. All this talk of pinion angle has me a little nervous about installing a 1-piece D/S.

Thanks for the input!
Not off-topic. We've had over 20 people purchase without UCA and have no problems, and they bolt right in. I've had 1 or 2 people need to purchase them, and alot of people that already have them that didn't need to use them. So all together, about 1 or 2 out of 40+ driveshafts.

It's really not as complicated as everyone is making it. The ultimate package would be DS (589.99), Safety loop (99.99) and adj UCA (169.99).

These driveshafts have been tested up to 138MPH on a road racing course with no issues. They have used them on 4+ consecutive races with the same driveshaft and no flex. The balance is still the same, no vibration, and they won 3 races.

It's not the top speed you should be concerned about, it's the torque being applied to the DS when racing at the strip. That's what mangles U joints and DS'. Especially a two piece DS.
