Driveshaft or LT Headers
#21
I just finished installing my JBA longtubes myself.
I only used jackstands on my garage floor. Just took my time over a couple of weekends. If you really had to, you could crank it out in a weekend.
I have no mechanical experience prior to this. I also swapped out the motor mounts. Only time that I needed help was holding the headers in place to get the bolts started.
And everyone is right.... the sound is incredible.

Longtubes for sure.
I have the MAC LT's and prochamber. I'll tell you the pipes which connect the prochamber with the LTs is short. But a cat could be installed.

+1, I also did the longtubes myself in my garage on jackstands. Did it over 2 days with a set of extra hands. Also had no prior experience to mod installation besides the CAI and shifter. I noticed quite a big difference after I put the LT's on. Go for it!

Since I have done both I would do the longtubes first than the driveshaft. But like Fabre said a while back. If you have 1K to spend do the OBX longtubes and Spydershaft at the same time. That is exactly what I did. But if you need to keep the cats in place then go for the driveshaft.

i think people make modding cars harder than it seems.......... in reality for longtubes you remove some bolts, pull the old ones, and put in the new ones.......... but its gonna be tight........ to make it simple. it is definitely doable and worth saving 3-400 dollars for an istall

Alright you guys talked me into it. I'll be getting some LTs. I won't be getting it just yet as I won't have time to install it so hopefully next month I'll have some time. Thanks guys for the opinions.

Does anyone know if the BBK LT's yield similiar gains as the other "top" name brands (ARH,JBA,KOOKS)? I think I will be going with the BBK route too,but I didnt want to put them on just soley for sound.

There is going to be virtually no difference between any companies LTs and another- Quality, and fitament can be debated however...But that statement is NOT to dog BBK: I love mine and they fit very well!
