Drive car to shop after installing CMDPs?

I'm going to be making up a set of Charge Motion Delete Plates from a set of factory runners I have laying around. My question is, can I install these and then drive the car about 10 miles to the shop where they'll do the tune? I know it'll at least throw a code, but I was just wondering if it would be drivable or not. It'll save me a few $ to install them myself, but worst case I can always have the shop do it because the car is going there to get cams installed and dyno tuned too.

My guess is the computer will put you into forced limited power mode , happened to me a bunch when I first had mine deleted and Steeda didn't quite have the tune worked out. I could drive the car as long as I just gave it a little gas , but I'm not sure what will happen using the OEM tune without the plates. If you have AAA try it and if you can't drive then have them tow it. Good luck ...

Get the shop to email you a tune to drive to the shop. Much easier.
