Drag Radial tire pressure
I suggest following Mickey Thompson's guidelines: http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/tech_pressure.html
And pay special attention to this note on that link.
Note: Many racers feel that "Less is Better" with regard to air pressure. This is not always the case. While there are exceptions to every rule, we have found higher pressure generally works best with Mickey Thompson Tires. Not only do the higher pressures lead to quicker times, but they also contribute to a safer, more stable ride at the finish line.

When I get back to the track, I'll have 28" DRs (275/60-15) with a lot more sidewall, so I'll start at 20psi again. I wouldn't be surprised if 20psi works just fine for me.
275/40-17s are probably closer to 26" dia.
