I finally decided to order my SCTx2 from Doug @ Bamachips last week. I flashed the computer with Doug's 93 Torque tune. The throttle response is just like everyone said it would be... Its as close to a cable as you can get. It kind of took me awhile to get used to it. One of the biggest things I noticed was the fact that the tach actually drops when you let off the gas (what a novelty). I love it now. My shifts no longer clunk when I do them slowly. This is the way the car should have been when we bought it. As for the power.. I think it is obvious that I didnt pick up a LOT of power because I had the K&N to begin with but I can definitely tell. The mid range power went up a lot. Before the tune I had tons of power when the tach struck 4000 but now I have that nice pull around 2500 rpms. Like I have said before I am always timing 80-100, 40-100's with a stopwatch and I can say that my times went down a few tenths to maybe .5 second. The 40-100 run went down the full .5 second but I think thats higher than the other tests because the computer isnt throttling back near 6250rpms where Im shifting at. I tried to do a 5-60mph pull but when I slammed the gas down all I did was spin through first and most of 2nd. Its just plain awesome now. I love it. Gas mileage has not gone up yet but thats probably because my car is still figuring out the new setup.... or its just my really heavy foot.

That is good to hear. I had thought Doug only did Auto tunes so didn't give it any looks. Now with hearing of superchargers killing engines more and more, I think I may go with just a CAI and tune until next year then revisit the superchargers again.

This may be wrong but, I don't think they put anything in the tunes for manuals. Unless maybe they can raise the rev limiter. As far as the shifts go I would quess that maybe the extra throttle response is smoothing out your shifts.

I hear you on the SC. I'm going to go CAI and pulley for now and give the SC guys a good year under their belt to see how things hold up.

That's great to hear! I've got the same basic set-up you have, I'm gonna order one next week! I'm still considering getting 4:10's to put in also, just looking for a good place to get it done. I PMed Doug yesterday with some questions but haven't heard anything back yet.

I ordered it last Tuesday or Wednesday and got it about a week later. You will get a shipping notification once he ships it out.

I do a LOT of highway driving so I probably wont go the gear route but today on the way home from work I was getting 27.6mpg going 75mph.. I was getting horrible mileage at first but I gave it a little while to work itself out. Everything everyone says about the sctx2 from Doug is right on. I love it!

Congrats Donna! Don't you just love the big brown truck? I've been watching out the window all day, waiting for big brown to drive up into the parking lot with my Midwest mirror covers! I hope my next delivery will have the word "Bamachips" across the top of the box!

Doug's tunes rock!! I loaded his tune after installing my JBA exhaust set up. At first my mpg PLUMMETED to 11. But once the computer worked itself out it has slowly risen back to 18.5 and CLIMBING! And I have a heavy foot too.

How are you liking the AEM cai, I do not get my car until april and already have the AEM sitting in my room waiting for install. Shortly after I will get the sct as well. Just havent heard many opinions on the AEM cai because I dont think many people are using it. Thanks for the info.
