Do all Panhard braces klunk? (easiest way to describe it)
Do all Panhard braces klunk? (easiest way to describe it)
I installed springs and shocks and panhard brace this weekend.
Everything is tight and torqued to spec.
This morning I noticed at low speed that there was a slight klunking noise from under and center of the rear. I rechecked all bolts and made sure nothing was loose.
In the canyon today I didn't really hear it that often but on a surface street just cruising around I hear it. It's a little unnerving to hear something that sounds like it's loose...
I thought I read somewhere that they often transfer some noise because they are stiffer than stock....
Other than that.... and my car bottoming out on my carport driveway.... the car handles like it's on a train track......
Not to be a squid or ricky racer, but i took turns today at speeds I would never have considered taking when i had the stock suspension.

"Klunk" is crazymaking
If it is what I think it is then it can be solved but I'm not sure how. here's what I've figured out. I believe the klunk is the end of the driver's side midpipe right before the muffler bouncing off the panhard rod brace during hard right cornering, speedbumps and potholes. The panhard rod brace is much closer to the midpipe on the driver's side and as a result any travel on the part of the exhaust system will cause it to bang into the brace. Everyone told me I was crazy when I explained the problem, but I showed them the dent in the midpipe that corresponded with the panhard brace and they quieted down. Thought about stabilizing the exhaust sytem with another brace attached to the chassis. However before I did that I brought it into my performance shop, Extreme Automotive" in Canoga Park CA. They were skeptical but they did tighten up the exhaust system, I'm not sure how since they didn't add any braces to it and viola "klunk" is gone. Some people have suggested putting washers-spacers between the brace and the chassis to increase the distance between the brace and the midpipe but I don't know if that is the best solution. If anyone has more info please post as I believe this is a major problem with all lowered 2005+ mustangs

I got the Granatelli adjustable panhard and upper support deal JR is running.
They are nice parts and a lot beefier than the stock ones, so i'm wondering if its just transferring noise?
I'm going to tripple check all the bolts and surrounding area to see if anything is loose.
and grease the fittings on swaybars and panhard while i'm at it.
seems to have lessened in the last day/since post, but i'm going to keep my ears open.
