And I thought Altoid was the caps lock moderator....................He must be out driving!

 

So somebody please explain this..... How does it differ from the TriAx? What does this do exactly? How hard is it to install compared to the Tri Ax. Is the throw shortened as much as the Tri Ax?

 

I don't know how much different the throws are, but it looks like this will bolt onto the existing brackets, and be easier to install. With the urethane bushings, this could be a pretty good deal. Might be a little easier to install, too. I'm going to add this to the list of possible upgrades for my car.

According to Jason at Steeda, it is a stock Ford shifter that they have modified by adding adjustable stops, a short throw lever, and new urthaine bushings.
(amazing what you can find out with a phone call! )

He said in his opinion if you were going to go to the trouble of changing out a shifter, just get the Tri-Ax. That there is truly that much difference in them.

 

Ever since I got the June 5.0 Mustang magazine article pointed out to me on the Steeda install - I've been thinkin about removing my driveshaft for this...
Or should I wait to see Hurst comes out with?
