This was a big topic back when these cars started rolling out. But I don't think there was ever a definitive answer. No computer flash, is there any bennifit to removing the HC trap?

I am not sure, but I think I heard that they don't even put them in the 2006 cars. I could be wrong.

Pull it. I never had mine in before the tune. I had it out with the stock intake and when I installed my K&N. I just now got the tune so I had been running it like that for 24k miles.

MM&FF reported a 4hp gain with removing it. Ford quit putting them in back around last June. So apparently even Ford saw no need for them. If you have an older car and it is still there, pull it.

I got mine april 15 and i had it. but removed it.
