how about any turners on here like bamchip, I want to know why you use one and not the other, there must be a superior product and i want to know why one is better then another, or just the pro's and con's

I think your probably only going to find a few people who can answer this question, since most probably buy one or the other and only have experience with one.
I have the XCAL2 myself, got it on monday from bamachips and love it. So far I havent done anything but load a tune in my 05 and clear the trouble codes on my 96 t-bird, but from what I read SCT plans on adding functionality via updates such as datalogging etc, unless this already happened and since I'm new dont know much.

My reasoning for going with XCAL2 vs predator was 2 parts
1. no K&N tune from predator yet
2. XCAL2 is the newest out of all of them so hopefully more advanced (I know this thinking is flawed but who knows)

I concur. I originally wanted a Predator with a C&L CAI but since no one could provide me with support locally, I ended up getting a Xcal2 and Steeda CAI.

You should go with what you can find support for locally. As for functions, features and power production I think they are pretty similar

I totally agree with the "local support" statement made in HolyPony's post. Support from a Local Tuner was #1 on my priority list. In my case, I had local support for both the SCT2 and Predator, and with my C&L CAI.

I went with the SCT2 and a C&L CAI because of the Fantastic Support and Customer Service from Doug at BamaChips. Also, I liked the SCT2 better because it uses USB connectivity to a PC instead of the old style serial connection used by the Predator.

Also, I was told by a member of my local Mustang Club (I can't verify if this is true) that Superchips, which SCT is part of, was the 1st and original company to break Fords computer code and they've been around for quite some time. Made me feel a little better about the SCT2.

I couldn't be happier about my choices. Good Luck with your decisions.
