I just got my tuner for my 06 auto gt with k&n typhoon intake and pypes axle back exhaust. The main reason I wanted a tuner was to rid the lag when I punch it hard. I used the k&n octane 91 and it appeared to do nothing at all, just the plain 91 octane performance works better, I live in California and I use 91 in it, could I use 91 octane in a 93 octane tune or what would be the best tune for my car with my minor mode, thanks a bunch

 

The 93 tune would run lean on 91 octane and could cause detonation , are your tunes the canned ones that come with the tuner ? If so I would consider getting a custom tune from someone like AM or such , it'll be a lot more aggressive than the canned tunes that come with a tuner and they'll make it safe for 91 octane ...

It's American Muscle , I know a lot of guy's on here use them for mail order tunes. But now that I think about it I'm not sure if they only write tunes for SCT , you might check out their web site. I live near Blow By Racing and I'm running their tune on an SCT , but they also sell the Diablo tuner so you might give them call. I know Chris sends out mail order tunes and he's one of the best tuners around for our mustangs ...

AM doesn't support Diablo anymore, except if you buy a Trinity from them. Pretty sure Steeda still does them.

 

I use a Predator tuner on my 06 GT with 91 gas. But I have put mine on a dyno to have it tuned with the Predator. That made a big difference over the Predator's canned tune for a Steeda CAI. The dyno guy then loaded the custom tune on my Predator for me. The dyno tuning gained me 9 HP over the canned tune.
