demolet tuneable induction setup?

Have any of you ordered direct from TI for one of their 05 GT CAIs? If so, what did you think? I know that you can order Demolet's kit through Brenspeed and his tuning rep is well documented. but I was just wondering if anyone ordered direct from Demolet and is using his tunes? It is a nice price for a black CAI with tunes $479, which is about $80 cheaper than Brenspeed.

Thanks

Sam

I have it and ran it with his tune for awhile and thought it was great. Then after a couple more additions to the car, I am now running it with a Bamachips tune. Jay is a great guy to talk with, and his intake is spectacular. He helped me find a guy close by to get some dyno time and a custom tune

I ordered mine direct and they were excellent. Spent time helping me and didn't rush me off the phone. Great follow up service when I needed a adjusted tune for the 4.10 gears I got.

I got the orginal set up from John. The tunes are stock (canned) tunes from SCT. I ran them last year and got several codes (Lean condition on both banks). He was a very nice guy on the phone but I didn't get any help with the tunes. He even asked me if I could e-mail him back if I played with the tune and got the codes to quit poping up, to tell him how I solved it. So I'll be running Brenspeeds tunes this spring.
My advice is that it is a good CAI but pay for the tunes ,you will save money in the long run.

I have the TI set up and I got to say that is one of the best customer service experinces I've ever had. Great guy to talk to and follow up is just as good. BAMA and Brenspeed seel them so if it the tune your about got with them. I'Ve upgraded to BAMA and still love the TI CAI.

The Ti product is good but the SCT tunes are weak. You miss out on 90% of the fun if you stick with canned tunes. I originally ordered my Ti from Modular Depot who after 6 weeks of jacking me around never sent the CAI so I contacted Demolet and he sent it immediately with the SCT tunes. Eventually Modular Depot sent me two (wrong) tunes that were worthless. Bamatunes have changed the car.

All I have to say is if you want some great service, great tunes, from a really cool guy that will help you out whenever you need it, I would highly recommend a tune from bamachips. good luck

Hey Tim, you might want to turn down the clamps in the intake tube near the throttle body. Ones Ive seen that had the clamp positioned with the screw on top rubbed on the hood cover.
