I've heard some details about these but would like to confirm them. What kind of hp/tq gains can be expected. How long would it take for some one who kinda knows their way around the engine bay to install them?

I have been on the fence about these for months. Read what Brent White of Brenspeed says about them. It's hard to decide for a daily driver. BTW...That is a great price shipped for someone that wants them. I just wish I knew what to do?????

For a daily driver, which I'm not, it's hard to say if I would do it again. There is a noticable power increase but not until about 3500rpms and up. Believe me, had I noticed any loss in low end response/power, I would have taken them off immediately.

These take approximately just over 2-2.5 hours to install. There are some GREAT writeups on this forum (thank you TacoBill), and you have access to clear pictures, and they go into great detail.

As for horsepower... I've seen mostly around 8RWHP gains. The CAI that is run also has a large affect on gains. The truth is above, they do make power approximately 3500+ HOWEVER the torque curves becomes very sharp and jumps very early as opposed to factory where it builds much less rapidly.

I would do them, not just as a salesman. If it was a personal choice for my car... Intake, Tune, Deletes, Axle-back would be my first 4 modifications.

Hey CR... You say that "the CAI that is run has a large effect on the gains." Can you please elaborate!
Thanks Scott

Larger cai + delete plates = potential torque loss... running LTH's as well is a potential loss.

However, I have had just run C&L 95MM racer intakes, delete plates, and LTH's and make good torque numbers.

The delete plates are a good mod all around and can be used down the road... they only become more and more affective.

Funny, these are my first 4 mods.

BTW guys, there's a engine safety advantage to having these as well.

Quotes from MF: "The biggest thing about these is there are no "flaps" to hang up, bend or anything to help the motor get hurt." "Plus, there has been at least one motor that failed due to the butterfly shaft bending and closing off several cylinders forcing all of the airflow into a few cylinders."

What about the JLT 2 Intake? Would that be a loss?

No sir. Again, with our tunes we have not seen a torque loss from the plates, actually if anything the torque shoots straight up at lower RPMs rather than an even curve throughout the scale.

The JLT II, C&L (either), and Steeda should all be fine.
