To datalog you have to buy a usb cable that fits into the bottom of the xcal and the other end into your computer, also you need to download SCT Live Link ( the program if your using a laptop )

If your using a laptop, plug the xcal into the car, plug the usb into the xcal and computer, turn car on, open live link program on computer, chose paramiters you want to datalog, click datalog button then click end data log button when finished, save data log....If you want to data log AFR you either need a wideband that can store the info in itself or you need a cable for your xcal that plugs into the top and the other end you have to cut off and splice the analog wire to the analog wire that comes off the wideband and splice the ground tothe ground and then when your open up livelink and choose the analog paramiter you have to input the formula thats needed to log AFR then once your done you can datalog...

Hope some of this makes since, its kinda tricky to figure out but once you've got it, its easy.
