Pypes off road x or H pipe

Need some input guys.

Currently running JLT II CAI + Stingers + Bama 93 Octane Race Tune (very nice) Thanks Doug

Thinking about adding an off road pipe need to hear from guys who are running this combination and hear what they think.

Can you feel a difference in power and what effect does it have on your exhaust sound.

Chris

I generally get the x pipes because they flow better and you get a few extra horses, they kind of give a little bit of a higher pitch to your exhaust note.

H pipes you lose a few horses but you get a lower more classic mustang rumble that arguably sounds better.

The power diffrence is probably neglible so I may go for and H pipe this time around myself.

Had an OR X-pipe- swapped it as quickly as I could for an OR H-pipe. No noticeable power difference. The butt-dyno doesn't recognize a 2hp difference.

Search for my thread called "Borla vs. Corsa". There are clips in there of the Borla catback with both an offroad H and an offroad X. There was no comparison in sound- the H is what I'm running now. As far as power, no noticeable difference other than the H felt alittle stronger down low, but again nothing huge.

"H" pipes sound better..."X" pipes are worth a couple of ponies more. Your choice. I am running a Mac Prochamber. Basically a "H" pipe with a box that lowers the sound a tad!

Thanks for the info.

Looks like Off road h-pipe it is, next question can you feel a difference in power over the stock ph-pipe with cats?

Most people can. I'm pretty darn insensitive to it. You'll at least sound faster, and there will be a definate H.P. gain. I'm assuming you have a tuner?

Edit: nevermind, read your post. Ask Doug to update your tune, if necessary.

Isn't it said that an O/R X is usually pretty raspy as well?
