They haven't been hooked up yet. I don't have the parts I need for the oil gauge. I should finish it in the next couple weekends.
I just love that pillar soooooo much

Looks great, Dustin!!! When did you do them? There's no snow on the ground and the trees look green!!

The trees are confused because it snows one day and is 50 the next day.
It was in the 40s and nice yesterday so I put in the water temp sending unit. I need a hose to hook up the oil pressure sending unit so I need to order that this week. Then I need to do all the wiring. I want to do the wiring for this, the water pump, line locks and low speed fan at once. Running wires thru the firewall is a pain.
Those gauges aren't hooked up to anything. I just popped the gauges in the pods and installed the pillar. The pillar is made by http://www.speedofsoundllc.com/ and the gauges are Autometer Cobalt half sweep electric gauges.

I've seen those gauges before and they seem like a good answer to the "lack of accuracy" of the standard gauges. I'll be interested in the details of the hook-up later. I've seen a triple gauge package on other cars too.

Karman I'll help you install yours, i got all the tools. It's kind of easy, the hardest part is getting wires thru the firewall and into the engine bay. That isn't really hard though just time consuming.
When is yours comming anyway?

They look great, but I have to ask one question. Why have gauges that the factory layout already has? I know the factory ones are not accurate, but really, what are you going to gain here? I will probably get the same gauge pod in the future, but I would put gauges in that the car does not have, hopefully a boost gauge.
Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to flame here, I just don't see spending money on something I already have.

Because the factory oil pressure gauge only tells you that you have oil pressure, it's on or off. Useless. And if something bad were to happen, by the time the oil light went on it would be too late.
I need the water temp for 2 reasons. Mostly to make sure the electric water pump is working, I need to monitor its performance somehow. The second reason is for the track. The car runs best at 180 degrees, I need to know how much more time I need to cool down before runs. Heat soak is a rediculous problem for these cars.
I really only wanted the water temp gauge. I got the oil pressure because nothing else seemed logical. I'm not spending $300+ on a wideband A/F gauge.
