We just raised the MAF roughly 25%. This happened on another ProCharger before. This should get us to the point where we can datalog. I put on a 3500 RPM rev limiter for precaution.

Good idea on the rev limiter.
Tell me, do you turn off adaptive when tuning the transfer function? I've heard some tuners do and some don't. Being relatively new to this car, I'm not sure what to do. Thanks!

I don't turn it off when I'm doing the MAF. I haven't found it neccessary thus-far. Alot of guys do. I know some people that do it habitualy, and don't realize it.
I think 25% percent might not even be enough fuel. I just want to start with that. We've had to add up to 40% on the higher boost kits before. SCT shouldn't even call it a base map!
I was speaking with Doug the other day, and we were laughing about how almost every intake, the standard is to add fuel right off the base variables, because it's sure to run lean if not!

Thanks. I haven't either but wanted your expert opinion.

You'd think SCT would start rich instead of lean.....hmmm......

That's with most of their maps! Someone who would send out a map without knowing to a mail order customer could be harming their customers motor.
For example. We had a base JLT Intake, Offroad X Pipe, UDP tune. Customer dropped the car off. For the hell of it, we thought we'd see what happened if we loaded the base JLT. The afr was 13.64!!!! We had to add 8% and 2 degrees for the car to run right on 93 octane.
Car ended up putting down 291rwhp / 312rwtq with just those mods on a MD250.

We almost got him straightened out tonight. Kind of hard to tune 1500 miles away, but we were going back in forth between AFR printouts and tune updates. Little bit of tweaking left, but for the most part the HP was around 460-479RWHP and the torque numbers were crazy, they were all 431-470rwtq! That's on a Dynajet. The one map even spiked at 508RWHP!!!
Absolutely sick! I can't wait to hear/see videos, or sound clips! William (threadstarter) is a hell of a guy, and we hope he hits the numbers he was looking for!

It was hitting 11lbs I believe he said. He was at a dyno down in TX, and he was faxing over AFR sheets, and then we would email the modified tune to him on the spot and wait for the next printout. The guy who was dynoing for him was a really nice dude, and it seems like William did a great job on install, because we're having no problems thus far up to 6000+ RPM.

ya last night was fun. right around 4700 5000 rpms range the car would tail off and start to sputter a bit. Ran good but could be a concern. I think with a little more fuel table playing around the tune can get fixed. Most of will's peak rwhp.tq was before 5k rpms. The spike of 508 or 518 something or the other was I think at 5500 rpm. He should be topping off at 6200 ish. Now if he could get the power to the ground.
Also Cr you have a PM, thanks.

Replied,
Thanks my man! I will get over Will's modified tune this morning, and that should fix it. We should be able to go all to 6250 without hitting rev limit, and I want to see 490HP

Videos coming I promise. CR is the man for sure. Zach (Speeddmn) was there last night with me at the dyno and got to experience just how good his customer service was. We're getting some fine tuning worked out and then it should be time to play. I'm completely happy with everything thus far, just want to get it nailed. I'm extremely suprised by the torque numbers this thing was putting down, because I hadn't seen too many of the P1 guys make torque like that. The torque hit a spike after 5k RPMS and read 484.
Oh and Second gear is the new first gear. I was cruising at roughly 3k RPMS in second gear and put my foot in it and car spun the tires with ease. Pretty sure If I'm wanting to play first gear is not going to be much of a help.
Once again big thanks to CR and thanks to everyone else who has been following the progress of my car. It's almost finished with this part. If anyone has any questions feel free to PM me or CR for that matter.

That was fun. We went next door and grabbed a few beers after 8PM, shut down the front and waited for the fax's to come in!
Monday we'll try again, and should get it dead on this time!!
