Could you run a hose from the front valance up to the air intake box to help get cooler air into the stock unit?
I knwo u could run the hose but would it be a benifit?

I guess you could but first take your stock air box out and see where it gets the cold air. There is a large opening there. There seems to be ample air already. I have the JLT CA pipe on mine. Not real sure the air is cooler but the flow is definitely better.
By the way welcome to the forum.

Yes. I am in the process of routing two 3" Thermo-Flex hoses from a bumper duct. I am going to cut out the 'diamond' grating on the lower valance on the drivers side and use the five sided opening under the anti-lock power cylinders to bring to the intake box. I am also going to fully insulate the full path of the air inlet route, including the air box and intake manifold. I found the temperature under the intake manifold to rise to 162F when idling during the summer. There is another person in this forum who used a duct and hose to route cooler air to the inlet box area. He used the existing open area of the lower valance on the driver's side. Good luck. I think it will help.

I ran into the other post yesterday. I emailed him to see if it was still working. I have a Diablo Tuner on the way but I wonder if this would require a retune?
