As for performance, I didn't "feel" any difference. However, there is a safety benefit which was a big reason why I did them:

"Plus, there has been at least one motor that failed due to the butterfly shaft bending and closing off several cylinders forcing all of the airflow into a few cylinders."

I hear you, my friend. Got the blessing from my financial advisor (aka The Wife) to do the Whipple blower if I land this new job I'm after ...so that will do away with them anyway. If I don't go FI (pretty doubful that I don't at this point), then I'll do the CMCV deletes...
