Question Click sound from clutch

I have an 07 GT with about 2,500 miles. Over the last couple of days, when I push in my clutch, about half way down there is a click sound and I can feel it throught the pedal. A friend of mine has an 06 and he has had the same thing for a while. I have noticed threads about squeaky sounds but not the click. Anything I can do about this?

I think that is just the safety switch engaging/disengaging. The one that tells whether the clutch is depressed before starting. Shouldn't be a problem, just maybe annoying. I am used to mine doing it.

So I guess it's normal then? It's just strange because my buddy has had the sound for a long time so I was aware of it, now it just starts happening??

It is the safety switch you are hearing. This is normal.

Saftey things on manual trans cars makes me laugh. I absolutely can't stand the clicking noise. I can see the Shaker was put in to ignore the rattles and clicks that may surface.

I hear it, too, and it is annoying at times. It's at that strange frequency that you (or maybe just I) can hear even over the radio.

As others said, it is normal. But sometimes I'll go for days without hearing it, and other times I'll hear it every shift.

Actually makes me feel better that others can hear it, too!

It also disengages the cruise control - and I'd hate to start the car by mistake once with it in gear, so it is necessary.
