Help with Texas Mustang "Hurst Stick Kit"

OK, I saw a link on here to this site

http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb.dll?parta~partsort

advertizing a "5 SPEED HURST STICK KIT With WHITE **** With chrome stick and white ****" On the same page is says "2005 to 2007" I sent them and email asking if it would work with the factory shifter on a 2005 GT. Their answer was "Yes!" Well I just dropped the shifter down and there is NO way to attach this part to the factory shifter.

Is there something I'm just not seeing here? Of course they're closed until Monday

Well they were part correct. You did get the proper Handle/**** combination for the 05-07 GT. Unfortunately you also need the rest of the Hurst package 3910201. Competion/Pro Shifter.

There was a thread where this was discussed. I just went back and re-read it; pay attention to 94Tbird's post:

Apparently this is to be used with the Pro 5.0 shifter. OK, I feel kind of dumb now thinking (and believing them when they told me) that I could use it with the factory unit. What I don't understand is, why do they advertise it like it's any other bolt on for an S197? I'm really getting sick of parts vendors making false claims just to make a $.

Just and update, they emailed me back today and admitted they made a mistake and offered to send a shipping label if I wanted to return the part. Since I already have the car up on jack stands and the shifter out I'm going to cough up the $270 for the Pro 5.0. Nice to see them offer to make good though.
