Chrome C&L Intake?

Has anyone tried to chrome the C&L Intake? Once I thought of it I couldn't believe I hadn't seen it...

I think polished aluminum would look better than chrome, but if you do decide to go the chrome route you should have the surface worked smooth prior to plating for best results. Show n' Go in Dallas does good work.

I had a shop in Oklahoma City tell me they couldn't chrome plate the intake tube because it was cast alum. They said they could polish it, but not plate it.

doesnt chromed engine items make the temps slightly higher. how about black to keep temps low, or body color of your vehicle?

good luck with your choice.

Here's a pic of a C&L polished. I did it myself and it's not super shiney, but I sort of like it that way. Up close the aluminum has a lot of very small pits, some worse than others. You may have to grind some spots more than others. Hope this helps with your decision.
