15 years ago when my wife and I got married. She was Methodist and I was Catholic. To this day, we have had a wonderful marriage. Drop that Chevy engine into that Ford Mustang and you'll have another wonderful marriage. That car will kick ****. Some of you anti Chevy people take this hobby way to serious. Lighten up my friends!!!! What will it be called? A Cherd, or a Forvy. I kind of like the Forvy.

I like to think of all the GM cars equipped with 9 inch rears (axles, housings, etc.) since most of the ones they have aren't as strong or versatile enough. Even if it may no longer be an OEM Ford manufactured piece, it is still based off a Ford part. One could suppose the only thing good about a RWD GM is the engine, the rest is pretty much crap (maybe) - hence the engine swapping. Seems to happen a lot with street rods too - a Ford body, with a Chevy engine.
I think Ford has to build a modern engine good enough and not too $$$ to buy and modify to prevent this kind of thing from happening. Personally wouldn't swap out the Ford engine in a Mustang for a LSx unit, even if it is admittedly better in the displacement/HP/TQ department as things stand now. (Yeah go ahead and
but it's JMO! Hopefully when the new BOSS engine family goes into production, that will change!) Now if it was a FC/FD RX-7, Miata, or 240SX, that's a whole 'nother story.
