As the title says. I need to know at what RPM they open. This will dictate when I activate my window switch for nitrous.

What kind of nitrous kit? Why not get the delete plates? Steeda makes a set that come with the openings for a wet nos kit already on em.

 

I know they do. A wet kit.

You will notice that when you are at wot and the sound of the engine changes from the raspy beast it is to a loduer raspier note. However they might open sooner at around 2700rpm as well. It is controlled by the ecu.

 

You know that they get rid of the butterflies so you wouldn't have to worry about them being open or not right.

its recommended to set the switch to open at 3000 anyways so theres enough suction to reduce fuel puddling and possible intake back fire. ive seen that on a cobalt, blew the composite intake apart. you would need the charge motion plates open when you use the juice. can you change the opening rpm with a tune?

 

Probably. I'll ask my tuner. I have the window switch set to activate the nitrous management unit at 3,200 RPM.

 

NMU.. you must be going with the zex kit. let me know how the fogger nozzle works out. i ordered the Nitrous express plate set up. im not sure how well either of them will work but i hear good things about both companies. does zex measure hp increase at the tire or the crank? how big of a shot are you running? fuel upgrades?

 

I'm not sure how they measure it. I will be running a 150 and 100 shot. I have a KB BAP along with Brisk 2 step colder plugs.
