I could see that happening if you don't use both hands on the wrench to stabilize it at the top of the plug.

This will break ANY plug and is a common mistake some people make.

Also, check the depth of your spark plug socket, it may be too shallow. To check, put a spark plug in the socket and see if the top of the plug comes up into the drive portion where the extension goes. If it does then when you are tightening the plug down you are putting direct pressure on the entire body of the plug and not on the 5/8" hex (Champion) or 9/16" hex (OEM Motorcrafts). This will also break a plug.

I've been turning wrenches on cars since the 60's and have seen and experienced a few things in that time.

i have the brisk plugs on my weekend duty car...yes they will not last last but they are a nice addition...i used the ALs on N2o and the champs n/a...champs worked well for me ...i have a set i don't need anymore if someone wants a deal...only about 1000 miles on them if that...going from the HT0s to the brisk made a 13 hp difference on the dyno with my vortech and alky inj...so i am gonna stick with them...also...for those with non i/ed blowers...look into a alky kit...for 500 bucks i cooled my iats over 40 degrees and also was able to open my gaps back up to .035...was getting spark blow out with no cooling and had them down to .026!!! FWIW
