Centerforce clutch question???

I wanna get an upgraded clutch. I've heard a lot of great things about centerforce so I'm looking in to the dual friction clutch. What I want to know is do I have to get their flywheel. I've noticed that basically every manufacturer says their flywheel is required but I've spoken to sever people that say the stock one is fine. What's the deal? I'd like to get a better idea because the flywheels are WICKED expensive. Thanks guys

Like with brake rotors when you change pads, you need to get it resurfaced or replaced. It is worn in to the grooves of the current clutch and just won't mate properly if you put in the new clutch as-is. If you're doing the resurface, the installer will have to take it out and send it to a machining shop before putting it back in.

I just chose to put in a new flywheel when I had mine done because I wanted to upgrade to a lighter piece while I had it out.

Whether it can be reused depends on how worn in it is, and if it's warped.

The Pedal is a little heavier then stock, but my stock one was heavy to, my buddies with the same year and mileage has a very very soft pedal, the pedal gets crazy heavy in high rpm shifting but that's the point of the DF

Cool. Sounds encouraging. That will probably be my next purchase. The Luk that I got probably would have been ok if I drove easier, but for how I drive it just doesn't do.

Well resurfacing the flywheel and babying it for 500 miles (Especially no dumps/burnouts) and you'll get much more bite than stock.

Keeping your stock flywheel will help keep the inertia from changing too much - I have to engage slightly higher or mine bogs since I went with a lighter one.
