I ran no cats with my prochamber and the sound was ok but I think highflow cats make it sound more refined. I would definently take the mrt catted h over the o/r x.

I had the pypes O/R H, FRPP Stingers. Mine is a DD and I couldn't handle the drone or trumpetting that starts at about 2500. I found that I short shifted just to stay out of that trumpet zone and never really got on the throttle, that took away the fun. Nothing beats the sound when your WOT though. Completely bad-azz. For me and on a DD I couldn't do the Day-to-day driving with them. Ended up going back to the stock cats and FRPP X-Pipe. If mine ever becomes a Garage Queen, the O/R H would go back on.

Many, many people love them though.

When I did my exhaust, I did American Racing headers, the offroad H, SLP resonators, and Flowmaster American Thunder axle-backs. The sound was AMAZING! No drone (resonators are mandatory for that), plenty deep, and LOUD. Too loud. After one 30 minute cruise left me with a splitting headache from the noise (108dB a meter behind the car at IDLE!!! WTF!!!), I pulled the off-road pipes, and put in a catted X pipe. A little bit more crackle to the exhaust, not much, but considerably quieter, and still kept the solid low-end of the exhaust. The only time I miss the off-road pipes is at wide-open throttle. Since ten of the twelve track dates for me this year are over two hours away, I think I'll leave them on. I may slap on the ORH for the two close dates, though. I'd love to hear them when I'm "driving in anger!"

If your expecting any worthwhile performance gains from a high-flow catted mid pipe, you'll be very disappointed, as the stock cats are already very efficient and low restrictive as is.

On the other hand, if your just looking for improved sound quality over stock. Then you may want to consider either the MRT high-flow catted H, or MAC high-flow catted prochamber

If you're referring to your stock H-pipe, it's already catted from the factory!

thanks yall. i am leaning toward the o/r h mostly cus of money. 200 or so with the mil eliminators compared to 400 for the prochambers. redfire's sounds real good with the o/r/ h with violators also.

I have the o/r h with Violators. It sounds great. No drone or trumpeting whatsoever. But it's friggin' loud. Seriously loud. I will be going with something with high-flow cats sometime in the future because it attracts too much unwanted attention. But if you don't mind that, it does sound great.
