Car makes unusal sounds after braking hard
Basically after braking hard, the car will sometimes make this unusual sound:

In that audio clip, you'll hear me accelerate, brake hard, and then the noise begins. I'm amplified the anomalous noise part so you can hear it better.
This happens after the car has completely stopped. The engine RPMs will dip below 700 as I brake and start making that noise when the car is stopped. The noise continues until the RPMs climb above 800.
I have an automatic transmission 05 GT in case that makes a difference.
This problem started happening recently and it's never done it in the 8+ years that I've owned the car.
Any ideas folks?
Thanks.

I think the issue is the torque converter is going belly up. It may not be unlocking properly causing low RPMs and a rough idle after braking.
Not 100% sure of this but it makes sense to me. Can't think of what else it could be.
It only happens if I brake hard.
Soft braking does not cause this.
The problem with this particular issue is that there are so many things that could cause the observed problems including any of the following:
- Torque Converter failure
- Camshaft Position Sensor failure
- Vacuum leak somewhere
- Alternator failure
- Brake booster failing
- Bad Motor mounts
I'm sure I missed several other things too. I need to somehow come up with a shorter list of possible culprits.
