Track Prepped 3V V8 - FRPP Style

I love this "new" engine. I just finished getting my ARH Long Tubes (no cats) on, with X-pipe this weekend. I also slapped on my FRPP parts; a twin 63mm Throttle Body (a gorgeous piece!), CAI, and those beautiful "Ford Racing" blue valve covers. Previously, I had entirely removed the A/C system, and relocated the battery to the trunk. Buttoned it all down with Steeda motor mounts. The engine merely needs to be re-flashed. From the beginning, my plan was to replicate those FR500S in the Mustang Challenge Series, so that's still the plan with the engine anyway. This car will have less weight and more brakes than an FR500S though. I hope a bit more than 325HP too. I'll be getting a Bama tune soon. Gotta connect the battery cables, and install my Granatelli strut brace, but i wanted to post the 95% solution now.

This is in my 2008 Mustang GT I bought new just for track events. It's taken way too long, but it's moving along. Car still only has 400 miles on it.

Good stuff! All the FRPP parts give your engine bay a nice OEM look. I'm especially liking the blue cam covers! The Bama tune would be a nice finishing touch to tie all of the new mods together, too.

What kind of particular track events do you use this GT for? Is it all Auto-cross or have you tried Hill-climb events, etc.?

Thanks for all the compliments.

This car will be for HPDE events at various road courses; namely Summit Point, VIR, NJMP. I run with NASA for now, but will be hitting some Track Daze events. I may look to SCCA events too.

It's not a full race motor set up. I have the OE radiator and I am curious how it'll hold up. The exhaust is full race without cats and mufflers, but I am hoping the radiator will work better (and be sufficient) without the condenser in front of it, as well as removing the horn, hood latch, and fog lamps. If it ain't, you know I'll hit the FRPP catalog. I am estimating (which is to say hoping!) 330-340HP, but I'll get a better feel for it after talking to the BAMA tunning guy. If i were to add cams, I may bang out 350HP, but I don't plan on that nor the FR plenum.
