Is this possible? I have a 05 GT with auto, 20" wheels, ventus K104 sport tires, and so on...my mods are in my sig...
If I got a CIA and a tune, could I chirp my tires from 1st to 2nd?
(Im guessing they chirp at WOT in D...right?)

Okay let me go get the CIA and tune...brb.
Hah Joe I know that, eventually, I will be overcome by the perf. mod bug, and will get these two. But I just want to know from people who HAVE 20"s and the tune/CAI combo.

I have 275/50-17s and they sometimes chirp on the right type of surface (plus I have 4.10s). But, because they are wide and have a lot of sidewall, they hook up pretty well. Which, by the way, is what I wanted them to do.

Hey Fried why would you suggest I don't do it often? Chirping the tires is gonna really bring that much wear? I mean how often will I go WOT from 1st to 2nd?

Don't you usually buy bigger wider tires so they don't chirp and waste all that energy as noise and heat and instead make the car go faster

I'll take low speed funwith my car anyday over hitting 120 on the freeway.
I just don't get as much pleasure with hitting high speeds than I do with, say, lighting the tires up or doing some nice donuts somewhere...or just making a ton of noise and chirping the tires from 1-2...

Not faster... quicker. And yes, that is exactly why I have 275-50's on there.

oh hey... how do those Nitto's handle on damp or wet pavement compared to the stockers? I find the stocks not so good, but i don't want to give up dry traction all that much either.

But, FWIW, it is claimed to have excellent grip in rain or snow: http://www.nittotire.com/tires_450_features.asp
