Cam Choice
I say the $140 cheaper ones, but that's just me. Have no particular experience with them, but you might give Brenspeed a call and see what they say.

Yes, Brenspeed might be a good place to call as they have great customer service.
I will probably consider getting cams in the future as well, but have not done the research on it yet. Sorry I cant really help......but I do know I can't stand the cams that make the "clapping" sound. I am not sure if it was just the video or what....but not the lopey old school muscle car sound that I think most of us are looking for.

Brenspeed Detroit Rockers if you want an NSR cam and dont want to do phase limiters. i got comp thumpr 127010 and comp phase limiters in, i really like the way they sound and i made good power with them. but when i get ready to do heads i am looking at bbr stage 2 or comp 127500.
Just wanted to add my experience. I had the Hot Rod's with a 4.10 and it took a while to get use to the lopey idle and being able to start off without stalling. Never did get it perfect but found I have to rev a little higher to get going. I miss the idle but prefer the stock ones now that I am going FI.
Had Hot Rod cams installed along with Kooks LT's, FRPP intake, C&L Racer CAI, 4.10's, with a dyno tune by Alternative Auto here in Metro Detroit.
Love the sound & power, drive-ability IMHO is like stock. I don't have any issues taking off from idle etc. I think the end result can be dependant on the tune.

I was also on the fence between these two cams but ended up going with the Comp. A friend of mine has the hot rods and he said he had to get use to driving a stick again. Also, I called American Muscle and told them my car is a d/d and I take my car to the track. For those reasons, they recommended the Comps over the Hot Rods.
