O.K. I know this has been discussed before but some threads are starting to worry me. I have an 05 GT and at 10,000 km I switched to Mobil1 5W30 synthetic + Lucas oil synthetic oil stabilizer.
I know that the owner's manual calls for 5W20 with no oil additives but since that car has such a powerful engine and that people are gonna drive 'em hard from time to time I thaught to myself that a 30 weight oil would be a better choice than 20. But now some of you guys got me confused by saying that putting a 30 weight oil in this engine is asking for trouble... Not to mention oil additives...
So I'm asking to any of you out there who knows what they're talking about to help me out. Should I stay with 5W30 + oil stabilizer and stop worrying or go back asap to 5W20.
So far this site has been a big help to me in many fields.
Thanks alot guys
Looking forward to hear from you.

John,
Everybody (including me) has an opinion on what oil to run. The problem is, they are all just opinions. Unless you know for sure that your choice is better, then I would suggest staying with the oil Ford recommended. I don't believe you can go wrong with that.
