The X pipe really shouldn't have anything to do w/ your decision.

I have the WMS intake, and while I love it's looks, I don't reccommend it to others.

Think about your future plans. Maybe you wanna go FI? Will the intake you buy now work with the supercharger or not? Not saying you should. But just plan your mods so you don't end up selling an intake for less than you bought it for just to buy another intake that you could have gotten the first time.

When I had a problem with it the mfgr (WMS) was unwilling to help and it's left a bad taste in my mouth.

Steeda. The owner of Springfield Motorsport (of Springfield, VA) highly recommends it as both a quality piece and that it produces the most power out of the intakes he's seen. I trust him too, he has several competition trophies on both his own custom mustang and those of his customers.

I have the Steeda and TillmanSpeed tune, love em. Steeda has a carbon fiber tube as an option, and it can be used with the Saleen supercharger if you ever get one.
