I bought a Diablo tuner from someone on this board several months back and am happy with it, but the time is nearing for a purchase of a CAI and matching tune. Lots of people have C&L's as well as JLT's, so they seem to be my first choice. I've seen what I believe to be the highest gains with the JLT, and there are many choices for tunes. From what I understand, there is the standard JLT tune for the SCT, but everyone seems to recommend the Bamachips tune. I can't keep it all straight. :bang:

What CAI should I buy based on the fact that I have a Diablo tuner now? I really need to run the 87 tune as the highest grade of gas here is 91, and I get lots of detonation with an 89 tune running 91. I would like to get a CAI and tune specific to that CAI for my Diablo if possible, hopefully using what seems to be the most trusted vendors around here.

Do I need to purchase a CAI and an SCT tuner to get the best performance for the money? I really don't want to drop another $300+ on a tuner since I already have one, but it seems like focus on the Diablo is going the way of the Dodo bird.

What do I do here?

Sean

Talk to Brent at DTP Racing. He's the guy that does the Diablo tunes for the JLT, and is more than willing to work remotely.

I second that, Brent did the tune for my JLT / Predator combo, and it works beautifully.
