today i had my crappy sniper tune removed, and had a new sct tune done at mustang magic on their dynojet. not only does it take much less time to flash the car, it actually improved performance! the car runs much smoother now, and has much better throttle response. sct is definetly the way to go. im not having the lag problem i was having before either, and they were able to set the deceleration timer to 2 seconds, just like with my sniper tune. it put down 318hp/330tq. with the sniper, it put down 322/330. it was much colder out when i had the sniper tune done, and my filter is extremely dirty right now. the car feels like it has a lot more power now then it did with the old tune.

 

Alot of times... it's not the tuner. It's the person who writes the tune.

 

Mustang magic, they are in deer park right?? How would you rate the overall experience there? I have been thinking of going there to get some dyno pulls done.

 

ok to answer question 1, both tunes were done by the same person, however when i had the sniper tune done, it was when tuning was very new to these cars, and it was one of the first he had done. they gave me a deal on the xcal since i had bought the first from them. it really does feel like a different car now tho, i have to get used to how sensitive the gas is.

2. i have had all of my performance mods done there, they are a great shop. they kind of don't like when you bring your own parts, if its not a brand they sell, but they will install them. they did give me a little crap when i brought a bunch of bmr stuff for them to install. they will match prices on anything, and can get most prices. i am very satisfied with them, their tuner joey is great. you are correct they are in deer park.
