I have an auto gt. I want to get the most out of it with a C&L intake and tuner. I've heard that brenspeed.com is good and a guy from bamachips is good but who makes the best tune for the auto? and what are the prices shipped? thanks

Heh. Alternative Auto's marketing plan made me chuckle.

We Don't Have the Lowest Prices. And We Don't Build the World's Fastest Mustangs. But . . .

Unequaled Tuning Experience
Hey, we aren't price competitive, and don't do the best job, but we've been doing it a long time!!!!

I'm not saying experience doesn't matter, because it does. I just think it is funny how they advertise it.

I'm pondering this right now myself, well as far as the tuner and tune (already have a K&N). I have read great stuff about both guys so its a tough choice. Leaning towards Bamachips myself right now. Got some great detailed responsed from questions I emailed him, as well as he has the K&N tune now and brenspeed is in the process, but thats not a factor with you if your going for the combo and C&L since they both already have tunes for that.

We will be spending all morning on the dyno tomorrow testing the K&N to see if it really produces what they say and also creating multiple tunes for it. These will be brenspeed dyno tunes like we run on our car. We have normal mail order tunes now for the K&N but we like to test the parts ourselves to see what power they really make. We will also be testing the Zex nitrous system tomorrow as well.

Also we do have the K&N's, C&L's, Steeda's in stock and plenty of X-cal units.

Where will post the results of this K&N test?

I will most likely post quick results on here, but also write an article for our website with detailed info.

As long as the nitrous testing does not take to long the K&N vs. stock air box is scheduled after that. We will write the programs during the test and put a package together for those who do not have the K&N yet. Lets just wait and see what the results are first.

This is my first post to any forum. I must say that I've learned a lot about the new Mustangs from this one. I wanted to improve the driveability of my GT. Bamachips did an X-cal tune for me for stock everything and my car runs great now. Throttle response and smoothness are way improved. Get this: I said that I might put on a CAI later. Doug offered to send me the correct tune for whichever CAI I decided on, for free. He's a guy who takes care of his customers.

Since this has already got the attention of the tuning specialists, I will just post this here. I'm stationed overseas in the UK, and on base all we have is 90 octane. If I want to get a tuner, will it be a problem to get a 90 octane tune? And also, do you have any problems shipping your tuners, CAI, and exhausts to APO addresses? (Must use USPS)

Thanks!

We ship to APO address's every week. Because you are on an APO we will have to ship USPS because UPS will not deliver there. 90 octane is not a problem nor is any other octane. Your program will just be modified for the fuel you have available. The X-cal units hold 3 programs so you can have any 3 programs you want. There is no additional charge to ship an air intake/tuner package to the APO because of its size. FREE SHIPPING.

Thanks a ton brenspeed! My car should have been produced today, so it will be about two months until it arrives here. I'll be looking forward to ordering from you.
