Brakes at the 2005 GT

Hi,

I live here in Germany and after a highspeed-braking at the "Autobahn" from 240 km/h, that means about 150 mph, I have problems with the front brakes.

No it looks like that the discs are unbalanced...

So I would like to change the normal brakes to better one´s. My Stang is equipped with 17 inches rims, that means not possible to install the Brembos.

Who have experiences with Steeda´s...looking forward for your advices.

It sounds like you warped your rotors. I don't know of any brake kits that you can put on the car with 17" rims. Have you thought of going with a bigger rim and using a big brake kit?

could always just get new rotors and then not slam your brakes from 240 kmph. Other then that rotor pros use same size rotors and they come various configurations.

You will need 18" wheels. And keep in mind that there are only a select few that work.

if you want to stay stock size (which is what he is asking) i'm reading that DBA 4000 or 5000 model rotors should do the trick over the stock rotors.

check them out...

good luck!

I have the Powerslot Rotors on my car along with Hawk Pads. They stop the car better than the stock ones, after you break them in a bit (No Pun Intended). I am also going to install some stainless steel break lines once my shop gets the double front left line that was in the package exchanged

I would look, like suggested, into a larger rim and a big brake kit.

I don't know how hard your breaking at 150mph but you might also invest in some brake ducts perhaps? Or haha just slow down sooner.
