Brake Upgrades??
Now that i got the Kenne Bell Blower in, i need to seriously consider Brake Upgrades. I will admit i know nothing about this portion of the performance scale. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Im trying to avoid Saleens brake kit for like a gazillion dollars.

You can wait until http://baer.com/cgi-bin/start.exe/baer/index.html completes the Eradispeed Plus 2 kit which is a 14" two piece rotor and uses the stock caliper. Delivery date unknown at this time.
The rear kit is already available.
Either kit is about $550 each
Or, the GT Plus which uses the same rotor assembly but uses the Corvette caliper introduced on the C5.
About $1100. Front only.
These are the two most economical brake kits out there.
Pads and rotors are just fluff compared to these two options and IMO are a waste of money if braking is a real concern.
Also change to Steel Braided Brake Hoses.
The Motorcraft or Castrol LMA is some of the best readily available brake fluids out. Both meet DOT 4 specs.
http://www.precisionbrakescompany.com/ has 4 piston 14" kits available front or rear for about $2300 each. Discounts available if front and rear purchased. Takes about a month to put kit together.
They use Wilwood calipers.
BTW..... a 14" rotor is a must behind a 18" rim or larger

I have the SSBC upgrade on my car.... I love the looks of the red calipers and the larger rotors. My buddies at MRT helped me out with the custom lazer etch...Tripple pistons on the front with slotted rotors on all four corners... Stopping is not even a concern anymore.
Here are some pics

Brake upgrade info
I've been researching the same issue. I think the Baer set is the best most economical upgrade to the 14" rotor, 2 piston set.
The best brake specifically designed for the Mustang GT is hands down the StopTech 14" 4 piston dual disc system. According to the engineering, it is specifically matched to the ABS of the Mustang, and is the most precise. It is also the most affordable of the 4 piston upgrades. The Steeda and Roush brakes are the StopTech brakes, they just overpaint their logos on the calipers.
StopTech says this upgrade is intended to go woth stock rotors in rear, with the highest performance ceramic(low dust)brake pad availible from Hawk. Also they suggest changing out the rear brake lines to stainless steel, and DOT4+ brake fluid be used.
There are numerous high quality Hub Centric spacer kits you can have installed so your wheels will clear if needed. Most 9x18 wheels and larger will clear. StopTech specifically recommended the spacer sets on www.hrsprings.com . They also mentioned these kits are used all the time, and by many racing teams as well.
I think the set is going for $2100 most places online.

Does anyone have experience with Brenspeed's Stage 2 Brake upgrade? It'll obviously not be as good as the $2-4k kits, but might be a good alternative at only $769.
