Boyd Cottington 18x10 up front
I have 255/45/18 tires for the front and 285/40/18 tires for the rear. I want to buy a set of Boyd Cottington "Junk Yard Dog" rims 18x10. My question will the 18x10 in this configuration is a good choice and will the front wheels rub?
Some folks have 18X10 deep dish bullits all the way around and no rub, some had to put 9" on the front. You would think all wheel wells would be created equal, but I guess not. Why not go with an 18x9 to make sure, a 255/45 will even fit on an 8" wide rim, and I think a 10" would be too wide of a rim, and might give the 'rubber band' look.
Those JYD's are great looking rims, but at almost 400 bucks a pop, to rich for my blood.

Just my opinion but 18x10 with 255/45 up front would not look very good. I have the 255/45 on an 18x9 Smoothie II and the sidwall only sticks out a little past the rim. With an 18 x 10 I don't think there would be any sidewall protecting the rim and these babies scratch easy.
